On April 22, 2020, join SPIN and 17 other organizations in Orange County for Help Them Home Giving Day, 24-hours to support families in need across OC. Your gift will help SPIN house more families with children. Plus, we have a MATCHING GIFT challenge! Generous donors have pledged to match the first $50,000 raised, doubling the impact of your support to help us reach our goal of $100,000.
THE NEED IS NOW MORE URGENT THAN EVER DUE TO COVID-19
Calls for assistance have increased 180% at SPIN as a result of the pandemic. With your help, we can support more families like the Martinez Family. They were close to completing a successful year in SPIN's Rapid Rehousing Program when the devastating effects of COVID-19 hit their family. Two of the young adult boys had full time jobs to help pay for rent while caring for their disabled mother and younger brother. At the end of March, the Martinez boys found themselves jobless overnight. They reached out to their previous Case Manager to ask if any immediate assistance was available to help them pay their rent. The family was approved for assistance immediately. SPIN provided the remainder of the rent and the family was connected to food pantries and other resources so they can stay afloat.
